The Advox for the Aristo is currently the best selling application. A low center of gravity can be experienced, increasing its sporty performance qualities. Eliminating that worn out bushing feeling, the ultimate sedan cannot be built without this product.

Profound research went into the development of a new suspension system primarily for reasons that it will be adopted as part of the TOM'S Complete Car Project. Our world renowned racing technology has enabled us to produce a suspension that is emphasized on superb road hugging abilities. The more faster the vehicle is, the faster it requires to properly transfer weight and prepare to execute the turn; which all is dependent on how well-balanced the coil and the damper is. The Advox was created upon combining the feel of the ride and theoretical factors to bring the best sports damper unit on the market. Extensive research and development went into utilizing low friction rubber chambers with the most ideal pressure to eliminate delay in the rebound. The smallest components were not overlooked, utilizing the best materials to construct the suspension. This resulted in a linear handing characteristic and maximum comfort. A dynamic sports feel can be experienced, with the tires translating every detail of the road to the driver through the suspension system. The Advox and Advox Sports series were ultimately created to increase the performance of Toyotas.

The Advox system was birthed from pure racing philosophies, featuring an innovative pressure controlled chambers to eliminate the delay in rebound. Inside, the layered valve construction further enforces unparalleled reaction following the damper rebound. Inherited from motorsports experience, aluminum cylinders had been adopted for precision and lightweight factors, and heat resistance.

TOM'S undergoes the entire process until the absolute end of testing to develop the most ideal design. A state-of-the-art damper testing instrument was acquired exclusively for the development of the Advox to simulate data from real world driving conditions. Using this data, the most ideal specifications can be determined for each and every vehicle application. Road testing the finished product is an absolute necessity.

Increased comfort due to utilization of rubber chambers and low pressure gas.

Rubber chambers were adopted in the design for the Advox, and Advox Sports. Compared to the traditional free piston structure, a significant amount of friction has been eliminated. Combined with the utilization of low pressure gas, high quality materials, and our deep motorsports knowledge, a product with unparalleled flexibility and comfort was developed. Such materials as the Teflon placed between the spring and its seat takes great handling and comfort to another level.

Controlled Pressure Chamber = In the Advox system, the pressures involved during bump and rebound are smoothly exchanged. Since there are no delays in the rebound movement, the most ideal movement is achieved for a stable and grounded handling.

A standard aftermarket suspension system has no controlled pressure chambers, resulting in a delay in the rebound movement (circled portion). This translates to poor stability and lack of ride comfort.


A dynamic steering characteristic is born from an accurate rebound design.

TOM'S precisely set the perfect rebound force, enabling full control over the pitch and roll behavior of the vehicle. This translates to a vehicle maneuvering on the intended driving path of the pilot. The orifice responsible for generating rebound during low speed stroke is replaceable when the unit expands or shrinks over time. The layered valves that keep the rebound effective during normal speeds are available in 60 different settings for vast amounts of setting options. A steel sprung on the seat of the valve has also been incorporated for smoother operation.

Stroke and rebound characteristics can be changed within a wide range of piston speed regions. This is due to the adaptation of many technologically advanced methods.

By thoroughly researching each function associated to a component results in durability and a highly efficient stable product. The originally blended damper oil is resistant against heat and contributes to preventing any changes of internal pressures from long years of usage. Almite coated cylinder tubes (excluding Advox Sports) is accompanied with a rod guide made from alloy bushing and the carbon damper rod is treated with a Tufftride process. Components such as the bottom eye, bottom crevice, and rod protectors were made from cold forged duralumin alloy assembled to make up the best dampers engineered. Countless trial and error processes were undergone to bring the highest performing product.
